Rainy Days are full of Sunshine

Today it is raining. I hate to use this old term but it's really pouring down in buckets and raining here in Lancaster County PA like cats and dogs! I was going to spend the morning shopping with my daughter but after we decided to cancel that, I decided it would be a great opportunity for learning. I have had a very filling day so far and am taking a break from learning. Here's how my day went so far:

At noon I listened to our power builders team conference call. It was very interesting and I wrote down all the tips that I could in my special notebook that I have for note writing and references. It's very important for me to just have one book for this because I have a bad habit of writing things on anything I can get my hands on and then a day later it is lost. So, I am proud of myself for this small accomplishment.

My main purpose isn't to sell candles but to build a team of movers and shakers that will eventually make us all financially free. So saying that, my first option on the list of to-do's is to get my presence out on the internet. I have several different ways to do that. The first one is a myspace site that I worked on today. If you want to, you can add me as your friend on myspace anytime.

After I set up my page, I worked on a few of my squidoo pages. This is an awesome sight that I just love. Even if I wasn't trying to get my name out on the web, I would be a part of Squidoo. I love to write and when I was younger I wrote poems first, short stories sometimes and even worked on a historical romance novel, so to me the opportunity to put thoughts on paper with Squidoo was exciting for me. I've never mastered the English language but I try and Squidoo offers you the opportunity to do that. My first lens (that's what they call a story on Squidoo) was about working with elders in a nursing home and just recently I wrote a tribute to my Dad. If you click on the highlighted words you can check them out. Leave a comment for me because I would love to know what you think.

I hate backtracking but I was having trouble on myspace trying to get links into my about me section. So instead of getting myself excited and being counterproductive, I just moved on to Squidoo. I'll try to go back to it later or first thing tomorrow. I correct that, it's number one on my list for in the morning. I make a list everyday. I cross off and change it if I have to but I get in the habit of a list of things that need to be done. Usually by the end of the day, most of the things there are crossed off. That's a big accomplishment for me. My thought for today is that this new journey I am on is making me a better person. I can see that in only a few short weeks. I like myself better too.

So I feel like I've done quite a bit today and now I am patiently waiting for my husband to come home from his Dad's with a kettle of homeade Clam Soup! His dad makes the best soup in the world. We are going to end the day by having some soup and watching a movie. So yes, rainy days can be full of sunshine. You just have to make them that way.

That's Rowdy in the photo, he loves to have his picture taken.
